American actress, singer and television personality, Lauren Keyana ‘Keke’ Palmer has reacted to the comparisons being made between Zendaya and her.
There have been commentaries about Keke Palmer and Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman, also an American actress and singer on social media.
Keke’s fans argued that she deserves the same hype and publicity given to Zendaya.
A conversation about colorism even came up amid the comparisons.
Reacting to this in a post seen by Newshuntermag.com, Keke Palmer stated that she is an incomparable talent.
She further mentioned some of her achievements.
“A great example of colorism is to believe I can be compared to anyone. I’m the youngest talk show host ever. The first Black woman to star in her own show on Nickelodeon, & the youngest & first Black Cinderella on broadway. I’m an incomparable talent. Baby, THIS, is Keke Palmer,” she tweeted.
Keke added: “I’ve been a leading lady since I was 11 years old. I have over 100+ credits, and currently starring in an original screenplay that’s the number one film at the box office #NOPE. I’ve had a blessed career thus far, I couldn’t ask for more but God continues to surprise me.”
It all started after her starring role in Jordan Peele’s new movie ‘Nope’.
Zendaya’s fans have also jumped to her defence.
