Former France Ambassador to Ghana, Ann Sophie Ave, has reacted to Ghana and Portugal’s match.

In a tweet seen by Newshuntermag.com, H.E Sophie stated that she is proud of the performance of the Black Stars.

She said they fought honourably.

The France Ambassador was happy about Ghana scoring two goals against Portugal becoming the first African country in the World Cup 2022 to score two goals at that time.

She tweeted: “Look at it this way. Out of 3 subsaharian African teams, Ghana 🇬🇭 is the only one who scored 2 goals. And against Portugal 🇵🇹 Sad of course but still proud they fought honourably.”

Meanwhile, Ghanaians are unhappy about how referee Ismail Elfath handled the match.

They tagged his actions as robbery.

Well-known Ghanaian sports journalist, Saddick Adams (Sports Obama), has even appealed to FIFA to review the match and sanction the referee.

The match ended 3-2 in favour of Portugal.
