Daddy Lumba has divulged the contribution Nana Acheampong has made to his music career.
Speaking at the Kabfam Legends Night held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on January 1, 2023, the renowned Ghanaian musician, known as Charles Kwadwo Fosu, thanked his longtime friend.
He revealed that Nana Acheampong introduced him to Highlife.
Lumba recalled he was doing Gospel in Germany until he was introduced to Highlife by his friend.
“When I went to Germany, I was doing Gospel until I found Nana Acheampong who introduced me to Highlife. He has played a major role in my music career and I owe him a lot,” he disclosed.
The two Ghanaian music veterans also performed their well-known song ‘Yee Ye Aka Akwantuom’.
Patrons of the event really enjoyed themselves.
