President Akufo-Addo has intervened in the dismissal of the SHS students who insulted him.
Eight (8) female students of the Chiana Senior High School in the Kassena Nankana West District of the Upper East Region were captured using unprintable words against Nana Akufo-Addo in a video.
After the video went viral, the Ghana Education Service (GES) took disciplinary action against them.
The students were reportedly suspended last year.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) believe that the punishment will deter other students.
Following their dismissal, President Akufo-Addo intervened after his attention was drawn.
In a state seen by Newshuntermag.com, the Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, directed the Ghana Education Service to consider an alternative disciplinary action instead of dismissal.
