A recent statement by Ghanaian actor Samuel Nana Yaw Dabo about the hours people spend watching movies has been condemned.
The well-known actor claimed it’s only lazy people who use one or more hours watching movies.
He said since the world is now all about making money, he does not see the need for people to waste much time watching movies.
Dabo’s statement attracted a lot of reactions.
Reacting to this, Ghanaian broadcast journalist/writer, film director and character trainer, Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku has described the actor’s statement as dumb.
He advised the diminutive Kumawood actor to apply wisdom or think very well before making any statement.
Oppong Kyekyeku was unhappy about how Yaw Dabo’s remark can stop people from patronizing movies—which will later affect filmmakers and actors in the country.
In his final comment during ‘K.O.K News Now’, the film expert educated Yaw Dabo on the benefit of watching movies.
