The Grace World Foundation, a foreign-based charitable non-governmental organization is advocating for national policy to prioritize child welfare services.

According to the foundation, nations could not have responsible, patriotic and reliable future leaders if child welfare services were not given much attention as part of national development policies.

Reverend Charles Sarkodie, the founder of the Foundation told Newsmen in an interview over the weekend in Sunyani.

This was on the sideline of the foundation’s donations to the Hannuka and Compassion Is Love In Action (CILIA) Children’s Homes last Saturday.

The foundation donated Food, drinks, biscuits, clothes and an undisclosed cash amount to support the feeding and upkeeping of the homes.

According to Rev. Sarkodie, the donation was part of the foundation’s 10 years anniversary activities.

The foundation, as part of its anniversary, also donated a package of assorted items to Bishop Boniface Outreach Ministries of the Ghana Assemblies of God in Accra for their rural Mission work.

On behalf of the Ministry, Bishop Boniface expressed gratitude to Grace World foundation for the kind support towards the rural Mission exercise.

The foundation visited some Hospitals in the Bono region as part of its activities to check up on babies admitted to the Intensive Care Units and also ascertain what the foundation could do to support the health care services of the babies.

Rev. Sarkodie stated that the government, parents, families and society owe the responsibility to strengthen child welfare systems and policies as well as have a keen interest in the cognitive development of children in national development plans and programs.

There was also the greatest need to invest and conduct thorough research in child welfare systems to ensure a solid national child wellbeing structured policy, Rev. Sarkodie emphasized.

“Let’s sacrifice and dedicate what we have for the benefit of our children for them to emulate and cultivate that habit into the future”, he stated.

Rev. Sarkodie, also the leader of Faith Foundation Ministries International in Europe has initiated an International Youth Empowerment Summit to guide young men and women to become entrepreneurs as well as building their capacities for the betterment of their livelihoods.

According to Rev. Sarkodie, the maiden edition of the summit to be held in Sunyani would be an annual event to also propagate God-fearing messages to the youth.

“Speakers would comprise great Entrepreneurs, Youth Ambassadors, Men of God, Young Achievers and Celebrities”, he added.
