Okyeame Kwame Advised Me To Leave America And Return To Ghana – Andy Dosty Reveals As He Marks 10 Years At Multimedia

Ghanaian radio presenter, Andy Dosty, has revealed some advice Okyeame Kwame gave to him some years ago.

The Hitz FM presenter disclosed in a post seen by Newshuntermag.com that Okyeame advised him to leave America and return to Ghana some years ago.

After thinking about it for a while, he returned to Ghana.

Andy said he started hosting a program created for him Graphic Showbiz On Tv by Abraham Ohene-Djan in Kumasi.

A year after this, the show ended due to reasons he did not disclose.

Following this, the well-known Ghanaian media personality said he was invited by Kojo Preko Dankwa to host Adom FM’s drive as a guest.

Listeners were impressed-and they asked that he should stay.

Andy Dosty further divulged he received another call which was from the Human Resources Department of Multimedia.

After meeting with the management of the Ghanaian Media Group, his journey with them started.

He is now marking his 10 years of working relationship with Multimedia.

In 2012 I decided to leave America as advised by Okyeame Kwame to come back home so I don’t lose my popularity (even in Kumasi) due to my long absence. Abraham Ohene-Djan (CEO, OM studios) created a TV show and me host, themed Graphic Showbiz On Tv which was an audiovisual version of the newspaper; syndicated on almost all Tv stations.

Although successful, the show ran for just a year due to certain circumstances (I’ll share that later).

In December 2012, Kojo Precko Dankwah invited me to guest-host Adom Fm’s drive-time show “OFIE KWAN SO”. At the tail end of the show, about 99% of the listeners were asking me to stay as they phoned in.

Few weeks later i was invited AGAIN but by the Human Resources Department. We concluded that I would host the show BUT NO for two reasons thus

1. Per their structure I was expected to present effectively in Twi but my pronouncements were predominantly in English (aaahhh Asante nii ba paaa ne Abrofos3m)

2. Jerry justice had began hosting the show and was doing very well as displayed by their “barometer” popularly known as the Tracker.

They quickly arranged for me to start a 2 hour show on Hitz 103.9 FM dubbed EASY LISTENING from 1-3pm on 1st April 2013.

I remember some few words in my opening presentation, “THIS IS THE FIRST PAGE OF A NEW CHAPTER OF A NEW STORYBOOK”.

Glory to God it’s been 10 years of indeed a new chapter.

I celebrate ME and MYSELF for all the hard work. I work SO HARD, I mean SO HARD to keep me going. I doubt if there’s ANY other presenter or DJ that works on HITZ FM, JOY FM, ADOM FM and on TV and has his/her own business (aside). Sometimes I get too scared and worried but hey……NO PAIN, NO GAIN.
