Dr Likee And His Crew Should Have Known Better; Engaging In An Argument With The Achimota Mall Security Was Not The Best

Ghanaian actor, Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi, popularly known as Dr Likee, is in the news after he was captured arguing with the security at the Achimota Mall.

In a viral video that Newshuntermag.com has seen, the famous actor was furious after they were reportedly asked not to film in the area.

They claimed the security said it was an order from the government.

Together with his crew, they challenged the security, stating that they will continue with the shoot—because if it was a foreigner, they would have allowed him or her.

“Are we from Togo? Aren’t we all Ghanaians? Weren’t we in this country when a foreigner came to shoot a video at our seat of government, What happened to him?

Don’t we shoot here all the time? So why do you want to deny our rights? We will go ahead and I dare you to stop us and see what will happen here,” Dr Likee was captured yelling in the video.

What’s my say on this issue?

I think Dr Likee and his crew should have known better. Engaging in an argument with security at the Achimota Mall was not the best. It was not necessary.

There are many places you don’t need a permit to shoot in Ghana. But if you decide to shoot a skit, a video or a movie at an area and you’ve been stopped, you have to obey instructions and do the needful.

Being a celebrity does not make you a superhuman. I was shocked after watching the ignorance displayed in the trending video.

This was the moment for Dr Likee to prove that he is a law-abiding citizen. Being aggressive and threatening to show how strong you are does not solve issues.

Likee and his crew should learn from this and do better next time.
