The decision by Ghanaian authorities to deactivate unregistered sim cards has angered Captain Planet of 4×4 fame.
He expressed his displeasure in a tweet seen by Newshuntermag.com.
The Ghanaian musician does not see the need for telcos to follow a directive to block sim cards when they have not given people access to their money.
He said they can take their sim cards after they have allowed them to retrieve their money.
Unhappy about how things are being handled, Captain Planet described Ghana as a lawless country.
He wrote on Twitter: “Ghana is a very lawless country. You’re blocking people’s SIM card & seizing their money because their sim is not registered.
Give them access to their money & take your SIM cards. #Nonsense. Birth cert .problem, passport problem, Ghana card problem, voters ID problem. Why?🇬🇭.”
