2024 Women’s AFCON Qualifiers: Rwanda Suffers 7-0 Defeat Against Black Queens In First Leg

The Black Queens of Ghana have crushed the Rwandan women’s national team in the first leg of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers in a 7-0 victory at the Kigali Pele Stadium on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
From the outset, the Ghanaian team showed enormous strength and tact, giving their contenders, the She-Wasps of Rwanda little chance to keep up.
The opening goal was netted by Doris Boaduwaa followed by a second goal from Evelyn Badu, both within 10 minutes into kickoff.
Pricilla Adubea directed a header into the net in the 30th minute, putting the Black Queens in a comfortable lead.
Alice Kusi delivered another goal after the first half, followed by Evelyn Badu who scored her second goal in the 64th minute, putting the scoreline at 5-0.
A penalty was awarded in the 65th minute and was taken by Jennifer Cudjo, but her shot missed the mark.
Achiaa Anastasia added another goal to the scoreboard with a long-range strike and quickly followed it up with a 7th goal a few minutes later, rounding up the game in a 7-0 victory against Rwanda.
Ghana will host the Rwandan team in the second leg on Tuesday, September 26 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
