Asante Kotoko Secures 2-3 Victory Against Hearts Of Oak

Asante Kotoko has secured a vital victory against rival Hearts of Oak.

The biggest Ghanaian teams locked horns at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday, December 10, 2023.

Technically, this Ghana Premier League encounter was a home match of Hearts of Oak.

Linda Mtange took the lead for Hearts in the 37th minute.

In the 44th minute, Isaac Oppong got an equalizer for Kotoko.

After 55 minutes of play, Steven Mukwala scored to make it 1-2 in favour of Asante Kotoko. A goal that many people thought should have been ruled out for offside but the goal stood after the referee consulted his linesman.

Kotoko extended its lead to 1-3 through Steven Mukwala in the 74th minute.

Hearts of Oak reduced their deficit when Martin Karikari pulled one back late in the game.

Kotoko won by 2-3—and a lot of soccer fans have complained about the 2nd goal.
