Ghanaian artiste, Nana Boroo, has caused the arrest of Chef Smith.

The arrest of the Ghanaian Chef came a few hours after it was widely reported that he had broken the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual (Cook-a-thon).

While addressing the media in a press conference at the La Palm Beach Hotel in Accra on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, Nana Boroo reportedly went there with police and some men allegedly in military uniform to arrest him.

The manager of Chef Smith, whose name was only given as Ben, confirmed the incident to Dr Poundz on Hitz FM.

He said they had been in detention at the La Police Station for about two hours, adding that they were being intimidated.

Despite the intimidation, Ben averred they wouldn’t utter a word until their lawyer arrived.

He explained that Nana Boroo claimed Chef Smith owed him—and had breached a contract they signed when he was part of his old management team.

Chef Smith’s manager however said his claim of him being owed is untrue.

He also made a confirmation about the authenticity of Chef Smith earning the Guinness World Record as the new record holder of the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

Listen to what he said below.
