A 15year-old girl hanged herself in Sunyani the capital of the Brong
Ahafo region in Ghana.
Araba, who attended John-Chris Int. School, was found hanged in their
room after her parents questioned where she slept last night, as she
didn't pass the night in their house. Her father asked her to bring
the phone that she (Araba) is using, but she refused and locked
herself in the room.
A neighbour told the News Hunter Mag that, the mother of the girl was
informed that her daughter was holding a knife, but the mother said
that's her behavior and she cannot do anything so nobody mind her.
NHM has learnt that, she used the said knife to cut an electrical wire
to hang herself.
It took an intervention of a carpentry to break the door and the girl
was found dead after 4hours of her locked-up.
The body was conveyed to the Sunyani regional hospital morgue by
personnels from the Sunyani municipal police station, and pends for an
autopsy to be conducted.
