'Selfie' Hitmakers VVIP together with 'Ronaldo' dancehall songstress
Kaakie and the 'great' Samini will be headlining the grand finale of
the MTN Hitmaker show.
The contest which started with 12 contestants now has five strong
surviving singers who will battle for the ultimate prize – a
GH¢100,000 recording, marketing and distribution deal.
Last week the very talented gospel singing sensation, Mina was the
last to be evicted. Mina who is determined to make it in the music
industry said she would not give up on releasing her album despite the
financial constraints.
Grateful to the judges for their support and encouragement throughout
the competition, Mina is optimistic the Hitmaker experience will
remain with her forever.
"I did all I could but I guess it wasn't enough. I have tried so hard
to impress and as a gospel artiste to get to this stage I am
impressed. I want to do music professionally. I have been to the
training college and the university but music is my passion. I thank
God for everything," Mina said.
"It has been a thrilling season so far," said judge Bessa Simons. "The
contestants have shown reasonable talent and we trust those who make
it to the final would really be the best four of the lot."
Last year's winner Koo Ntakara and his runner up, Cano-Z, will also
make appearances on stage.
Beleagured Kumawood actor and comedian LilWin will also be performing
on the night.
