Ghanaian Broadcast Journalist, Blogger/Writer, Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku
has advice his fellow Bloggers and Website Admins to give credit to
the original source (s) of contents that they re-post on their
blogs/websites.
Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku who is popularly known as the News Hunter or Mr.
KOK, said it's unprofessional and unfair to copy someone's work
without giving them credit as content author.
Mr. KOK who owns News Hunter Daily Magazine said, he will soon take
action on anyone who infringe on his content rights or copy right
terms.
He said, it's time to set the pace for others to follow.
The Blogger expressed his displeasure on facebook saying "According to
Lorelle VanFossen, Just because information is on the Internet does
not mean it's "free" to take and steal. Information, images, graphics,
designs, and photographs, all are protected under copyright laws and
are known as intellectual property.
While it is nice to think that everything on the Internet is or
should be free, for the most part it is. It is free to read, look at,
wonder about, and even write about. It is not free to steal, make
money from it, or use it as your own.
This post is a signal to all those who steal content from my blog
'News Hunter Daily Magazine' or other sources who duly credit my
content, to advice themselves before we take action against them.
What prevents you from giving credit to the original source (s)?
I believe in professionalism
May the Good Lord Bless us all." said Mr. KOK.
