A man faced an embarrassing trip to A&E with an iron bar stuck up his bottom.
Unlucky Ajay Deora, 29, from the city of Banswara in Rajasthan state,
northern India, had been on his way home after a few beers at a
friend's house.
Bursting for the loo, poor Ajay decided to stop off at a building site
to spend a penny when he slipped and fell 20ft and landed on a metal
rod.
Passerby Shah Kohli, 30, said: "I was on my way to my girlfriend's
when I heard a man screaming.
"It sounded like a wild animal, and when I went over to see what had
happened I saw this poor man in a pool of blood with an iron rod
sticking out of his crotch area.
"It had clearly pierced his body from one side to the other and he was
wild-eyed and clearly in shock. And so was I, I'd never seen anything
so shocking."
Damaged Deora was rushed to hospitalwhere staff sawed the rod in half
before taking an x-ray of his shattered rectum.
A hospital spokesman said: "The force with which the rod entered the
man was so great it caused extensive internal damage.
"We managed to safely remove it though and he is now recovering
although it will be some time before he can walk or use his bowels
properly."
