After switching camp from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to join the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ghanaian highlife musician, Lucky Mensah has said he will be with the NPP till he dies.

Lucky Mensah told Ark Fm’s Nana Kwame Adjei Bohyen that the ruling National Democratic Congress has failed to deliver on their promises to Ghanaians –and that’s the reason why he is parting ways with them.

“I campaigned for the NDC to win power during the era of Late Professor John Evans Mills. I also campaigned for President Mahama in the 2012 elections hoping that things will get better but that has not materialized. They have failed on their promises and I think it is wise to join the NPP.”

Lucky Mensah explained that he was not approached by the NPP. According to him, it was a personal decision that he took.

“I have not met Nana Addo before. He does not even know me and nobody has approached me. I’m taking this decision because of bad governance and I believe Nana Akufo Addo will be the right person to rescue Ghanaians. Let’s all vote for him,” he said.

Lucky asserted that his songs can bring opposition parties to power.

“I bring opposition parties to power because I am lucky. These will the third time if Nana Akufo Addo emerges winner in the 2016 elections.”

He said nothing will compel him to join the NDC again.

“I have nothing against the NDC, but NPP is far ahead of them if you compare their years in power to that of NPP. After promising to build 200 community schools, President Mahma has turned back to say he cannot complete it in his first term of office…and I don’t think I can associate myself with someone who do not deliver on his promises.”

Lucky Mensah known in private life as Alex Mensah has unleashed a song to assist the New Patriotic Party in the 2016 electioneering campaign. The track is titled ‘Ye Se Sa Mu’.
