The electioneering period is here again and it seems the number of celebrities who are endorsing their favorite political parties is not going to end anytime soon.

Veteran Ghanaian actor and producer, Mr. Bob Smith Jnr popularly known as Diaboloman who is an executive member of the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), has said they are ready to put measures in place to lift the image of the industry.

Speaking in an interview with DJ Kastiva on Kapital Radio’s ‘Kapital Friday Night’, Mr. Bob Smith Jnr said: “FIPAG has a new look now. We will do whatever we can to maintain the peaceful atmosphere in Ghana. We will like to tape all the Presidential candidates and opinions leaders…we will help broadcast their peaceful messages.”

He added: “We will fast and pray for any politician who has a good plan for the Ghanaian movie industry. The various television stations can help improve the industry if they pay us and also show more local contents.”

Mr. Bob Smith Jnr stated that the new executives of FIPAG are poised for action—and they are not going to relax until the image of Ghanaian movies has been redeemed.

He called on the government to as a matter of urgency pass the film law.
