It Will Take A Selfless Person To Invest In The Ghanaian Entertainment Industry – Bulldog

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
Head of Artiste Repertoire at Zylofon Media, Lawrence Nana
Asiamah Hanson popularly known as Bulldog
has revealed what would push
someone to invest in the Ghanaian entertainment industry.

Speaking in interview with Melvina Frimpong Manso on Suncity
97.1 FM’s Showbiz 971 in Sunyani, Bulldog disclosed that
it
takes selflessness and love for someone to pump money into the Ghanaian
entertainment industry.
“Acts is like a curtain. It covers all our problems. If you
look at USA and Great Britain, they have a lot of problems but they use act…close
your eyes and dream over America. All you see is the Denzel Washington, the Jay
Z’s, Beyonce…etc. Recently, Nigeria is doing it very well as well. I mean the
challenges in Nigeria are immense but if you think about it all that comes into
mind is Dbanji, Davido, Wizkid and others,” he posited.
“I think we need that image as well to help us…and to do that
one needs to be selfless and have love…put branding, the whole nations brand at
heart. That’s when they can devote time and investment. Once we have that on the
top of our heads, we will get somewhere. But if your intention is to just make
the money back, it is not a powerful business,” Bulldog added.
The Veteran Artiste Manager eulogized the CEO of Zylofon Media,
Nana Appiah Mensah for his unprecedented contributions to the entertainment
industry in Ghana.
“I will say God should bless Nana Appiah Mensah wherever he
is. He has done what nobody has done in the history of Ghana since independence.
Because to sign on artiste at the top and bottom and change them to the next
level…we all know where Stonebwoy,Becca and Obibini were until Zylofone media
came in…and how we have made them work in comfort,” he said.
According to him, investments made in the industry are so hard
to recoup—but the CEO of Zylofon Media is ready to pump in money and he needs a
lot of prayers and support from all of us.
“I wish in 2018, we see a lot more investors like that. The
work is difficult and we need a lot of such people to support us.
I hope
we will double up whatever we did. I am hoping a lot more talent will be
unearth. There are a lot of undergrounds but they are not being discovered due
to financial constrains,” Bulldog said on his expectation for the New Year.
