2018 IRAWMA: Shatta Wale To Be Honoured For His Outstanding Contributions To Reggae

Ghanaian dancehall/reggae artists, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, popularly known as Shatta Wale, will be honoured at the 2018  edition of the International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA).

The organizers said they are honouring him for his “outstanding contributions to Reggae in the motherland and at the global level.”

The ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 18 at the Logan Center for Arts, University of Chicago, Illinois.

Shatta Wale won ‘Best African Song/Entertainer’ at the 2016 edition of the award scheme.

The awards scheme was established in 1982 and honour the accomplishments and contributions of reggae and world music artists, including songwriters, performers, promoters and musicians.

Congrats to Shatta Wale!!!
