Popular Ghanaian musician, Michael Owusu Addo, otherwise known as Sarkodie, has stated that he was the first musician to create fanbase in the country.
The Sarkcess Music boss stressed in an interview with Kobby Kyei that his fanbase was the first-ever fanbase created by a Ghanaian musician in and outside the country.
According to him, most Ghanaian musicians had no active following until his Team Sarkodie came to existence.
Sarkodie urged those who have doubts to check on Twitter the date that Team Sarkodie was created and gain international recognition.
“We started, we started the following but people don’t know that. The thing is sometimes we need to set the record straight. You go and see…If you are doing your checks, if you want to argue go to Twitter to check the date Team Sarkodie was created,” he stated.
Sarkodie further thanked Wizkid for his advice before he created his fanbase.
