A Ghanaian music producer is chasing Kuami Eugene and Lynx Entertainment over royalties share.

Recently, Kuami Eugene was fingered in another lyrics theft accusation.

Following the release of his ‘Dollar On You’ song, he was accused of using a portion of Prophet Seth Frimpong’s ‘Okumchola’ lyrics without authorization.

Though the owner of the song is late, Roro, the producer of the song has revealed that he has contacted them over the issue.

He told Hammer on Pure FM in Kumasi that they have agreed to share the royalties of the song.

Roro speaking in a video seen by Newshuntermag.com explained why he qualifies to benefit from the royalties even after he was paid by the owner of the song.

“Richie and Kuami should know better. I felt disrespect when I had to rather contact them myself over this. I have been in touch with them and they have agreed to share royalties with us over the song.

“Sampling someone’s lyrics is not bad as you even contribute to reviving the song especially when the artist is big but when you do it without the consent of the artist or management, that’s disrespectful and wrong and until someone sues an artist for a huge amount, this practice will continue. We need to do the right thing,” he said.
