The Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has supported veteran actor, Psalm Adjeteyfio.
Mr Adjeteyfio pleaded for the support over the renewal of his rent in a recent interview.
He needed about GHS 3, 000.
Following his plea, Dr Bawumia has supported him by paying GHS 30, 000 for his rent—which will be renewable for the next 5 years.
He was also given GHS 20, 000 for his upkeep.
This was revealed in a post-Newshuntermag.com came across on Facebook.
Krobea Kwabena Asante broke the news by writing: “Despite mourning his mum who died in the early hours of today. Dr. Bawumia this morning fulfilled a promise he made yesterday to TT of Taxi Driver fame that he will foot TT’s rent bills. Dr Bawumia has paid 6 months renewable for the next 5 years (30k) for TT and has also given TT 20k for upkeep. In all, he gave TT 50k this morning.”
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s kind gesture was on the heels of his mother’s demise.
