Sunyani MCE Joins Abusua Kese3 At Yawhima Children’s Home (Photos)

Abusua kese3 as their name symbolises and translated as “Big Family” encapsulates an extended family including friends that has come together under the umbrella name for philanthropic works.

The group extended an invitation to the respected Hon Ansu Kumi, the Municipal Chief Executive of Sunyani to support their outfit as they present several items including, bags of rice, cooking oil, Tissue papers, cartons of tomatoes, sardines, assorted drinks and a deep freezer, second-hand Shoes and clothes, Gallons of liquid soap, Yards of GTP materials and others to the Yawhima Children’s home (Compassion is love in Action) today, November 20, 2021.

Under a colourfully short ceremony to deliver the items at the Premises of the Orphanage at Yawhima, the MCE underscored the blessings there is in giving and sharing love as captured in the scriptures in Mathew 25: 34-46 and in Ist Corinthians 13.

The punctilious MCE intimated the willingness of the Assembly to support the Orphanages as the groups would be partnered in their future endeavours once it synchronises with the welfare of the people.

In a brief appreciation, the President of Abusua kese3, Mrs Rita Konadu Ofori expressed her gratitude to the MCE for making out time to support them.

She recounted how the group was formed some two years ago when she visited Sunyani and was inspired to come up with an initiative like this to support mainly Orphans and since then the group with the help of friends and family members have seen many support to Orphanages across the Region.

“The goal in the long term is to establish an Orphanage ourselves to help the Orphans in securing their future,” she said

Supported by sister groups such as Foster power fun club and Akomapa group who also added to the donation, the items were presented to the Orphanage.
