Past and present District and Municipal Chief Executives in Dormaa have reiterated that education is critical for the development of any nation and everything should be done to ensure quality education in the country.
They further stated that the success of a Nation is determined by the number of people who are able to acquire knowledge through formal education.
They, therefore, advised young persons to take their academics seriously to increase their level of education.
Speaking in an interview with Newshuntermag.com’s Mark Asante, the former Municipal Chief Executive for Dormaa Central, Hon. Gordon Asubonteng said education is the bedrock of development and urged all stakeholders to join hands together to improve the education system in the country.
He also mentioned that what we learn in schools should reflect directly on the development and betterment of the nation.
For his part, the District Chief Executive of Dormaa East, Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Agyeman said though the education system in the area is good, there is more room for improvement.
According to him, the lack of libraries and ICT Centers are negatively affecting academic performance in the Dormaa East district.
