The lifeless body of the unknown man was found in the lion’s enclosure of the Zoo on Sunday, August 28, 2022.

The Police have joined forces with the management of the zoo and the Forestry Commission to investigate the sad incident.
The man, who is in his middle age, was killed by a male lion after he sneaked and jumped into the den of the lions at about 1230 hours on Sunday.
Officials of the Forestry Commission disclosed that the lion attacked the man’s throat and killed him.
After visiting the scene, Mr Benito Owusu Bio, Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, responsible for Forestry, confirmed the incident and said the lions were well protected.
