Ghanaians Pray For Christian Atsu Following Reports Of Him Being ‘Trapped In Rubble’ After Earthquake In Turkey

Prayers are being said for Ghanaian footballer, Christian Astu.

He is among the people who have been trapped under rubble following an earthquake in Turkey.

According to reports Newshuntrermag.com has chanced upon, the earthquake occurred on Monday dawn, affecting Turkey and Syria.

Currently, search and rescue efforts are underway.

Ghana’s Christian Astu, who plays for Hatayspor football club in Turkey, is among the victims.

Many Ghanaian social media users are praying for him.

Officials say more than 1,300 people have lost their lives in the disaster, while a further 6,000 are injured.

Reacting to the devastating news, Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a statement: “I convey my best wishes to all our citizens who were affected by the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and was felt in many parts of our country.”
