The journey of Bra Dea Foundation to distribute about 5,000 sanitary pads to female adolescents in the Bono Region is ongoing.
With about a month since the project commenced, the Sunyani-based charity organization and its partners are doing their best to achieve the goals of the project.
So far, a couple of schools in the Bono Region have received their shares of the sanitary pads.
The latest beneficiaries are young girls at Yawhima and Timber Nkwanta—close to Sunyani—the capital of the Bono region.
Newshuntermag.com has obtained photos from the donation made by Bra Dea Foundation and its partners.
Partnering with some health professionals in the Sunyani Municipality, the young girls were also educated on menstrual hygiene.
Michael Edwards Kwasi, the Chief Executive Officer of the foundation thanked all those who are contributing to ensure the success of the project thus far.
