Former Black Queens player, Angelina Doreen Awuah, has proposed ways that women’s football in Ghana could be made to attract sponsorships.

During a discussion with Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku on Unlimited Chat With K.O.K aired on Top City TV, Doreen bemoaned the neglect of women’s football in the country.

She said the attention is on the senior national team, Black Stars.

While male football has been dominating, the former Black Queens player pleaded that something must be done to bridge the gap.

Angelina Doreen Awuah believes getting more sponsorship for women’s football will help.

She, therefore, called on the government to give tax exemption to companies who are willing to sponsor women’s football in the country.

Doreen Awuah was hopeful more companies would like to come on board if they are exempted from certain taxes.

She was speaking on the topic: “The impact of women football in Ghana, challenges and benefits.”
