Ghanaian sports presenter, Princess Nafisah, has opened up on how her journey in the media began.
She recounted the decision she took to work at a radio station some years ago during a conversation with Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku on Unlimited Chat With K.O.K aired on Top City TV.
While working with her mother at the Techiman market, the popular female sports presenter, known in private life as Nafisah Yakubu, thought of finding a different job.
She then wrote an application letter and submitted it to Asta FM in Techiman.
With no knowledge of media work, Nafisah said the programs manager at the station advised her to change what she was looking for and apply as a receptionist because that was the only vacant position.
She obliged and did exactly that.
Nafisah recalled how happy she and her household were after she started working at the radio station.
After working as a receptionist for some time, she attended a media school in Kumasi.
The sociable presenter averred she went back to Asta FM after completing her media training.
She also reminisced about the sacrifices she made before she got the chance to pursue her dream as a sports presenter.
Princess Nafisah moved from Asta FM to join Suncity Radio in Sunyani after six years.
She further moved to Ark FM before joining Service Radio, where she is currently working.
