The Eastern Regional Hospital on the night of Thursday, September 21, 2023, suffered a deadly gas explosion that claimed the life of a security person at the hospital.
The victim was transported to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after suffering severe head injuries from the explosion which occurred at the hospital’s Oxygen Unit, Citinewsroom.com reports.
Despite being placed on a ventilator, the security person tragically lost his life shortly from the severity of his injuries.
The family of the deceased has been informed and the hospital management has resolved to cooperate with the police to investigate the exact cause of the explosion.
