Ghanaian rapper, Samuel Adu Frimpong, well-known as Medikal, has revealed what happened when he collaborated with Joey B.
While working with his colleague rapper, MDK claimed Joey was not happy about his earlier verse—and he was asked to do it again.
The AMG rapper, who was speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM said he obliged and the second verse was the best.
He explained that he did not get angry when Joey B told him to do the verse again.
“He sent me the song and I did my verse. He sent it back to me and said he didn’t like it. If I was someone who gets angry easily, I would have been upset. But I did the verse again and it was better than the first one. So sometimes we go through these things,” the ‘Omo Ada’ composer revealed.
Medikal further revealed that sometimes artistes feel unready for collaborations.
“Sometimes, as artists, we may not feel like recording. Some artists may not understand this, but I do. If the artist I send my song to is not in the mood, I don’t take it personally.”
