Ghanaian singer, Rebecca Akosua Acheampomaa Acheampong, popularly known as Becca, has made a clarification of her decision to take a break from recording.
She announced her decision to quit recording in 2020.
Becca said the decision was to help her pay attention to her family and also build her real estate business.
During an interview with Nana Ama McBrown on Onua Showtime, the Ghanaian singer stated that taking a break from actively recording music does not mean she is not going to sing.
According to her, it was part of her plans to perform at events if she was not recording.
“At a point in my life I decided to take a break so I when issued the statement people misunderstood it. I only said I did not want to be actively recording music. It did not mean that as an artiste I cannot perform on stage or I have stopped singing totally, it was only to the effect that I will not be engaging in studio recording.
“Also, I wanted to explore other areas after almost 14 years of music. But as an artiste honestly you can never say that you won’t sing anymore,” Becca stated.
Answering a question about whether she would return to the studio or not, the ‘Na Wash’ singer averred: “Honestly, I do not know. The valentine love night show will tell.”
