Bra Dea Foundation Starts ‘Her First Period’ Project At Abesim In Bono Region; Donates 500 Sanitary Pads To Female Adolescents

Bra Dea Foundation has started its latest project christened ‘Her First Period’ at Abesim in the Bono Region of Ghana.

The Sunyani-based charity foundation donated 500 sanitary pads to female adolescents in the area.

Young girls from JHS 1 to 3 in four public schools at Abesim benefited from the first day of this project. 

The beneficiaries were also educated on menstrual hygiene and sanitary pads.

Michael Edwards Kwasi, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bra Dea Foundation recently told Newshuntermag.com that his outfit is looking forward to donating about 5, 000 sanitary pads to female adolescents in deprived areas within the Bono Region.

Bra Foundation is collaborating with the Public Health Unit of the Sunyani Municipal Hospital to embark on menstrual hygiene education.

The project is also supported by Strytyzm, a clothing brand in Sunyani.
