Black Stars Of Ghana Placed Third In 2022 Kirin Cup After Beating Chile 3-1 On Penalty Shoot-Out

The Black Stars of Ghana have clinched third place in the 2022 Kirin Cup.

Alidu Seidu was sent off after a VAR decision in the 67th minute.

The Ghanaian men were reduced to nine after Mubarak Wakaso was also shown the red in the 78th minute.

After 90 minutes of play, the game was still in a stalemate.

Ghana beat Chile 3-1 on penalty shootouts to win the Tuesday morning encounter.

Ghana’s goalkeeper for the day, Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, was superb in the post as he saved two penalty kicks from the Chileans.

Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus and Fatawu Issakaku converted their penalties successfully.

Black Stars’ victory comes after they were defeated by Japan in the opening match.
