Japan Humbles Black Stars Of Ghana By 4-1 In Kirin Cup

Japan has humbled the Black Stars of Ghana in the Kirin Cup.

The Black Stars were defeated by 4 goals to 1 when they faced Japan on Friday, June 10, 2022.

Miki Yamane put Japan ahead after 29 minutes of play.

Jordan Ayew got the consolation goal for the Senior National Team of Ghana in the 44th minute.

The Japanese reclaimed the lead before the end of the second half through Kaoru Mitoma.

Japan clinched victory after Takefusa Kubo and substitute Daizen Maeda found the net.

Ghana will be competing against Chile for third place on Tuesday, June 14.

Japan and Tunisia, who thrashed Chile by two goals to zero—will play in the final of the Kirin Cup.

This is Otto Addo’s first defeat after he took over as Black Stars’ coach.
