World Cup 2022: Bruno Fernandes’ Brace Earns Portugal A Spot In The Round Of 16

Portugal has qualified for the round of 16 in the World Cup 2022.

The Portuguese team beat Uruguay 2-0 in the Group H match on Monday, November 28, 2022.

At the end of the first 45 minutes, no goals were recorded.

Portugal dominated with possession.

Bruno Fernandes got the first goal for Portugal in the 54th minute.

Fernandes successfully converted a penalty within 90+3 minutes of play.

The Portuguese side earned a spot in the round of 16 through the brace netted by Bruno Fernandes.

This follows Ghana’s 3-2 victory against South Korea earlier.

With these results, Portugal has six points, leading Group H of the World Cup 2022, Ghana is second with three points; South Korea and Uruguay are having a point each.
