South Korea and Portugal have qualified for the round of 16 of the World Cup 2022.

In the concluding fixture of Group H, Richardo Horta scored in the 5th minute to put the Portuguese ahead.

South Korea cancelled the lead through Kim Young-gwon after 27 minutes of action.

Hwang Hee-chan scored the vital goal for the South Koreans in the 90+1 minute.

Portugal earned six points in this group, South Korea had 4 points—the same as Uruguay and Ghana at the bottom of the table with three points.

The Koreans got the qualification ahead of Uruguay because of the more goals they scored in the tournament.

This was after Ghana lost 2-0 to Uruguay in the other Group H encounter.
