A brace from Kylian Mbappe has helped France to book a knockout spot in the World Cup 2022.

Andreas Christensen cancelled the lead five minutes later after France broke the deadlock.

The French side launched threatening possessions.

The Danish team also made some serious moves, aiming to get a decent result which did not come to pass.

Kylian Mbappe found the net again to restore the lead for France in the 86th minute.

His brace aided the Le Blues to book a ticket to the stage of the competition.

The 2-1 final result earns France six points in Group D. They defeated Australia 4-1 in the opening match.

Earlier, Australia secured their first victory in the World Cup 2022 after beating Tunisia by a lone goal.

The reigning champions lead Group D with six points, followed by Australia’s three points at the second spot, with Denmark and Tunisia having a point each.
